Having graduated in electronic engineering, Peter was a maths teacher before starting a musical career. His work as Musical Director includes Under Milk Wood (Royal National Theatre) and a large number of Royal Shakespeare Company productions, both in Stratford and in London. He was a regular Play School pianist (BBC TV) for its final decade and has taken part in many other radio and television programmes. He recently performed as Composer/Musician in David Wood's adaptations of Babe, the Sheep-Pig and Fantastic Mr Fox (Open Air Theatre in Regent’s Park, London) and wrote the incidental music for last year's tour of The Tiger Who Came to Tea. Other composing credits include Roald Dahl's The Witches and The BFG (further adaptations by David Wood, on tour and in the West End). Peter has been commissioned to write and record music for numerous audio-books, many of these by Alexander McCall Smith and Philip Pullman, including the award-winning version, narrated by the author, of the trilogy His Dark Materials.
